Mid to Senior Level Structural Engineer

Enayat Schneider Smith Engineering (ESS) provides structural engineering services to architects and developers across the United States on a multitude of project types ranging from low to mid-rise buildings.

The Mid to Senior level Structural Engineer position requires advanced knowledge of structural engineering concepts and principles as well as interpretation and application of relevant building codes. Our staff are expected to maintain effective communication with design professionals, architects, building owners, other engineers, and contractors. This position offers the opportunity for advancement into a Management/Principal position.

Our Structural Engineers are responsible for:
- Applying structural engineering principles and concepts to the design of various types of residential and commercial buildings
- Knowledge of relevant building codes related to structural design
- Applying wind and earthquake design principles and practices to the lateral-force resisting systems
- Construction administration services including shop drawing review, responding to RFI’s, and performing structural observations.

At ESS, you will work within a collaborative team of BIM operators and junior to senior-level structural engineers and design professionals, managing projects from conception to completion. Required Skills and Experience:
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE or SE)
- Knowledge of post-tension concrete design and RAM software library
- Knowledge of Revit is a plus
- Minimum, 5 years of structural design experience on multi-family residential and commercial projects.
