Working with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the Sharana Airforce Base project was completed in 2012. Specifically, this Afghanistan Waste Management Complex venture was of a design/build nature, consisting of solid waste management operations featuring 24-ton-per-day incinerator units, a covered storage and sorting facility, ash landfill, and office space designed with antiterrorism safety measures in mind. Supporting facilities were designed to be self-sufficient and addressed all utilities such as electricity, water, sewer, gas, oil storage tanks, storm drainage, curbs and gutters.
