Housed in a four-story wood structure containing 114 units, these apartments are appropriately priced for median-income seniors. Specifically, the building utilizes wood framing with open web trusses and a post-tension slab-on-grade foundation system. Deep floor trusses were utilized in construction to allow the framing to span from the exterior walls to corridor walls without the need for interior unit bearing walls. Ruby Hill was the first new building constructed in the area in 25 years and boasts environmentally responsible features that meet Green Communities criteria—ensuring sustainable building practices. Indoor amenities include a library, game room, conference room, and business center, while outdoor spaces include a courtyard, children’s play area, and community garden for resident enjoyment.
