Ella City Homes are luxury townhomes located on the former University of Colorado Medical Campus. This project consisted of 5 separate buildings, each of which are 4 stories tall. Each townhome includes a split-level floorplan, high-end finishes, and a scenic rooftop patio. Type III construction methods were utilized to account for tight lot lines and large openings in the façade. Special detailing was utilized at the double height walls that allowed for these open spaces while maintaining efficient use of materials. Finally, an innovative solution was required for the lateral system to account for the large openings in the exterior giving the units a bright and open feeling.
