Centrally located in one of Denver’s most desirable neighborhoods, this building offers comfortable convenience just steps from City Park with 212 apartment units and 252 garage parking spots. The structural system utilized two levels of elevated post-tensioned concrete and four levels of wood framing. Due to numerous grade changes along the street scape, a number of steps had to be incorporated into the concrete design. This required intelligent design decisions to balance the efficiencies normally afforded by post-tensioned construction with its struggle to accommodate stepping. Beyond its prime location, The York features modern architecture, high-end design along with myriad amenities and one-of-a-kind rooftop conservatory, outdoor grilling kitchen, and fireside dining overlooking the park, all capped with a clock tower the required unique structural detailing.
