Leland Backhaus

As one of our lead project managers Leland has over ten years of experience in structural engineering performing analysis, design, coordination, and construction services. He has worked on a wide range of projects including multi-family residential, mixed use podium buildings, single-family residential, senior housing, hotels, retail, office, parking structures, and forensics. This work has given Leland a wide range of knowledge in different building systems including concrete, timber, structural steel, masonry, and cold-formed steel with particular emphases in light framed wood construction, post-tension concrete, and mild reinforced concrete. Combining these skills with a client centric design approach and a drive for excellence has helped make Leland an integral part of our firm.
