This innovative project transformed a performing arts complex theater into 60 subsidized apartments for people with disabilities—specifically, those who experience homelessness. Additionally, fifteen apartments are reserved for veterans. To help maintain the look and feel of this historic structure, special care was taken in design, utilizing as much of the original exterior as possible. Part of the requirements for this project included removing the roof and adding two additional levels, turning this single story structure into a three story building. The interior features laundry rooms, staff and service offices, community room and a 3 story open atrium with exposed glulam beams.
